What is AskmrJob?

AskMrJob is a perfect place for job seekers and for people "in the know", who are sure where the job is. People who know something about the job can post a lead - information about a vacancy, and job seekers can then find this lead and have the information about the job. People "in the know" can earn money for their leads - they can ask for some cash or for a favour for a job lead. Job requesters can ask for a job and offer money or favour for a lead, which makes job finding process for them very quick and easy.

Registration

On AskMrJob.com every user has it's own unique account. You can create your account by clicking here, pressing Create Account button and filling in the simple form with your personal, login and contact information(Picture 1). It is important to fill correct information, otherwise you will not be able to use your account.

After you have done, just click Create button below the form. You will see a message saying that an email with the account details was sent to the address you provided. Now you need to check your email. In the email(Picture 2) there are your username and password as well as the validation link. Press it to validate your account.

After you have pressed the button, you will be transferred to your account control panel.

Logging In

To login, just enter your username and password on the homepage of AskMrJob.com. If you forgot your password, click here. You will need to enter your email, and your newly generated password will be sent there.
NB! Please enter email that you provided during the registration.
If you haven't received an activation key, click here. You will need to enter your email so that the key will be resent.

Account Control Panel

In your control panel you can find some information about the site and, below info, your leads and your requests.

You can see that currently there is only 1 lead for Web Designer vacancy there, and 1 request for an Office Manager in Wichita, US. Every user can edit/delete/disable his/her leads or requests by using the buttons under Options inscription. Below Leads and Requests there is a little legend, that will help you understand which button does what.
On the top, there are also some buttons(Picture 4), that let you post leads/requests, or browse them.

Posting a Job Lead

To post a Job Lead, all you need to do is to press Job Lead button on the top of your control panel. You will see a new page with a form you will need to fill in to post a lead. You will first need to enter a description of a vacancy you have info on. The more details you have - the better. Then you need to give a brief title that describes your job referral. For example: "Medical Device Sales Associate"; "Elementary School Teacher" or something along those lines. This title will serve as the header of the referral. After that you will need to select geographical location of the vacancy : Country, State and City. When you are done with that, please select a correct industry. If you want, you can enter the name of employer and his/her/its website. After that you will be able to select how much do you expect for the job lead.
Free <- Your Job Lead will be free, and everyone will be able to see it.
Favour <- You can ask the requester to do something for you for the Lead
Payment <- You Job Lead will not be free, and you will get money from requesters if they find your job lead interesting. However, if they don't find your job lead interesting, you will not receive any money.

If you select Payment, you will need to enter the amount of $ you expect for your lead(max amount is 200$).
How much do you expect if a person gets the job? - this is what you will get if a requester gets a job you posted information about. Free <- by selecting this, you agree that you do not expect a person who gets the job do something for you
Favour <- by selecting this, you can ask requester to do something for you
Payment <- by selecting this, you can enter the amount of $ you want if the person gets the job

On the very bottom of the page there is a favour description form - you need to fill it only if you selected Favour in "How much do you expect for a job lead" or in "How much do you expect if a person gets the job?"

After you are done with filling information, click Save. You will be transferred to Job Leads list. However, there you cannot see your own leads. To do that, click My Leads on the top.

Requesting a Job Lead

Press Request button on the top to fill the Request a Job Lead form,. You will need to describe the job vacancy/job possibility you want information on. The more details you post the better the person viewing the request will be able to assess his job lead to your description. How much are you willing to offer for any solid job leads that a person can offer you or if you get the job. Free <- Your request will be free
Favour <- You will have to complete the person's favour
Payment <- You will need to pay for the information

My Leads

On "My Leads" page you can see(aswell as view, edit, delete, enable/disable) all your posted Job Leads(Picture 6)

You can also see if you have any new messages on your leads(Picture 7).

The first project does not have any new messages, but the second one does. If you click on the envelope button for the second project, you will see a message that was posted by an interested requester(Picture 8)

You can reply the requester by pressing the Reply button, below Options.
There you can write your answer to the requester(Picture 9).

When you have done the replying, press Send button and your message will be added. Requester will be able to see it onsite, and he will also get an email with your reply.

My Messages

On "My Messages" page you can check status of all your messages. This page contains all of your job leads and requests that have presented interest to other users and that you are interested in, as well as the name of the user who posted latest message(Picture 10).

Active Leads

Active Leads are all job leads or requests on which you have posted one or more messages(Picture 11). On this page you can find out if the owner of job lead or request has replied to you(see the envelope icon). .

If it says that you haven't shown interest in any job leads/requests, that means that you haven't posted any messages on job leads/requests.

Lead Offers

When you press Lead Offers on the top menu, you will be redirected to a page where ALL lead offers are shown. You can search a lead offer by keywords, in any country, state, city, and in any industry.

Wanted Leads

By pressing Wanted Leads button on the job, you will get list of all information that will help someone get a job. You can search a lead by keywords, in any country, state, city, and in any industry.

My profile

On My profile page you can edit your first & last name, as well as email and username.

Change Password

To change your password click Change Password in the bottom menu. You will need to type your current password, and then your new preferred password twice.

Contact Us

If you have any questions related to this website just press Contact Us button, enter your messages' subject and your message. Your nickname and email are already entered.

Refer

If you want to invite someone to AskMrJob.com, press Refer button,enter your name and the e-mail address of the person you wish to invite and press Send.

Terms

Press Terms button to lookup terms and conditions of use on AskMrJob.com.

Logout

Press Logout if you wish to log out of your account.
